Michael W. Zislis received a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 1982. After early experiences in acute care and rehabilitation in Philadelphia, he became the Director of Montgomery County Rehabilitation Center, a multi-disciplinary out-patient rehabilitation center in Abington, PA.
Mr. Zislis has lectured to numerous Physical Therapy students and graduate Physical Therapists, Physiatry and Dental Residents as well as Oral Surgeons. Mr. Zislis is published in an international peer reviewed medical journal and he holds a United States patent on a unique shoulder rehabilitation device.
Upon moving to Colorado in 1989, Mr. Zislis founded Precision Therapeutics, a multi specialty rehabilitation staffing group. Through his work in rehabilitation, it became evident to Mr. Zislis that there was a need for alternative assisted living housing for individuals who prefer a smaller scale residential setting. In 1998, Mr. Zislis opened Serenity House Assisted Living I. The success of this first residence prompted him to open additional residences, now totaling 16 locations.
